Politicians mark 9/11 with fundraising pause
UPDATE: Party Time has since received invitations for September 11. View calendar for details.
Not raising money doesn't come naturally to politicians in election season but, as the nation observes the 11th anniversary of the terror attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, political fundraising appears to be in a temporary deep freeze.
While no elected officials were slated to be a part of the Ground Zero ceremony in New York, according to AP, President Obama planned to participate in Washington observances and members of Congress planned a Capitol Hill ceremony to mirror the memorable moment of bipartisanship that occurred on the steps of the Capitol the night of the terror attacks.
Here is a shot from the Party Time calendar for this week.
