Fashion and filmmaker dinner in London for Obama
Gwyneth Paltrow, Anna Wintour and Tom Ford are hosting a Obama Victory Fund dinner in London next week.
The cost of being surrounded by fashion icons and move stars: $40,000 to host and $15,000 to attend.
The event, planned for September 19, will be held at the exclusive Mark's Club. Being a member of this eating club requires approval of existing members and between $400 and $1,200 (USD) in fees per year.
Wintour has hosted three other events for Obama this year, Party Time records reveal. The editor of Vogue donated $35,800 to Obama Victory Fund, maxing out her contribution to Obama's candidate committee and the DNC in August of last year.
This is the first Fundraiser Party Time has found featuring Paltrow and Ford, but both have been active contributors, according to Sunlight's Influence Explorer. So far, Paltrow has given $20,000 to the Obama Victory Fund. Ford, who has been successful in filmmaking and fashion, donated $75,800 to Obama for America, maxing out to to Obama's candidate committee, the Democratic National Committee as well as to several state Democratic committees.
