Both Presidential Campaigns Turn to Maryland
The Romney Victory, Inc. campaign and the Obama Victory Fund 2012 seem to have their eyes set on something in the Old Line State this week. On Tuesday both campaigns will be making their bids to potential supporters (albeit in different areas).
Pres. Barack Obama will be making a personal appearance in Baltimore for two events. The lunch will be at a private home in Baltimore. Tickets to this event will cost $10,000 for individuals who wish to take part in the photo-op and lunch or a whopping $50,000 for those who wish to be part of the exclusive "clutch" as well as partake of the other activities.
The president will then go over to the Hyatt Regency, also in Baltimore for an afternoon reception in his honor, a mere few hours after the early lunch. This event is a bit more moderately priced with tickets starting at $250. The price does however go up to $10,000 for event chairs.
The Romney camp is not letting Obama have the state to himself. While her husband is attending to supporters in Georgia, Ann Romney will be hosting a fundraiser of her own just minutes out of Baltimore in Linthicum, Md. The evening reception will cost party goers $1,000 for the general reception, $2,500 for the photo reception or $15,000 for the dinner.
