Warren has busy East Coast fundraising schedule too

After a whirlwind of press over Elizabeth Warren’s fundraising activities in California, the Democratic candidate for Senate in Massachusetts has scheduled four fundraising events on the East Coast -- three of them in the Bay State.

Former head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Warren returns to Washington on Wednesday to headline a reception for young professionals.

On Monday, Warren is holding a fundraiser in Westwood, Mass., featuring 33 hosts and co-chairs.  If these participants have paid the listed price, Warren will raise at least $23,500.

Madeline Albright, who served as the nation's first female secretary of state under President Bill Clinton, will be featured at a March 29 luncheon fundraiser for Warren at the Taj Boston Hotel.

Warren has another event on April 11, at the Newton, Mass. home of Margaret and John Ruttenberg. According to Influence Explorer, the Ruttenbergs have contributed $483,000 to political causes and candidates since 1996.

Recent Massachusetts polls have shown Warren in a close race with the Republican senator she's trying to unseat, first termer Scott Brown. But as of year's end, she was ahead in the money race, having raised $8.9 million to his $8.6 million.
